Bienvenue à tous!
Welcome to the Spring 2013 semester of Art 110, Introduction to Photography for Non-Photography Majors at IAU College. Yes, we are now working under a new name and our course is now 3 credits.
Without further adieu, let me introduce you to the current group of photographers. Please offer a warm welcome and plan to visit throughout the semester to see each new assignment. Going forward, there will be a single post per semester that will be updated with each new assignment. This will allow you to see the progression of the work in an organic way and watch the development of each photographer's work and style as we move through the semester. I welcome your feedback for this new style of presentation. In fact, please feel free to offer any feedback you may wish to share with the group or any of its individuals.
Enjoy!
Heather Brien
My name is Heather Brien, and I am a junior at Framingham State University with majors in Modern Languages and Early Childhood Education. I had no previous background in photography, but I always want to better capture experiences that I have, and I thought learning about how to take better pictures would be a great way to do that. I came to Aix-en-Provence to work on my French and to experience the rich culture of the south of France.

Coming to France, as well as Europe, has always been a dream. Choosing to immerse myself in France through study abroad, with its beautiful architecture, amazing markets, rich history and culture, coming here was a no brainer!

Gettysburg College: Junior, Class of 2014
I have always wanted to take a photography course, and couldn't think of a better opportunity to explore my interest in photo then while abroad in Aix-en-Provence. I chose France because, as a little girl my mother would rave about her time abroad in Aix-en-Provence. When I finally had the opportunity to go abroad I realized that Aix would be the perfect place, and am so excited for this amazing experience.
