What's It All About?

The light in this region is what has captured artists for ages.  And what could be more lovely than spending a stretch of your summer in the light of Provence?

Making use of that light in a photography course at IAU in Aix en Provence, of course!

Ladies and gentlemen, please put your hands together for the photographers from the summer ART 365 course as they share their views of light and life in the south of France.

Check back later for updates as more background details and images will be added as it is available.  (Our time flew by in this three-week program and the blog became more of a 'catch-up' project this term.)

With no further adieu, I present images from 5 of our 7 participants for the first assignment...

4th year student at University of Illinois at Chicago
My major is French/Francophone studies
I have no prior experience with photography but I have always wanted to take a course on it.  I thought it would be a great opportunity to do so in Aix.

We're missing one more classmate...but we're off to a good start!
